Anything we should know?Dear Matt: You may recall that we spoke a few months back about preparing an order (I won’t call it a QDRO!) for my client, dividing his former-wife’s FERS plan. I’ve attached a copy of their Settlement Agreement (drafted by prior counsel), with the relevant provisions highlighted on page 4. The Husband’s name is Javier Stefanoni. The Wife’s name is Evelyn Stefanoni n/k/a Evelyn Bernal. She is still employed and has not retired. What else do you need from me to get a draft of the Order prepared? The Former-Wife is not very cooperative, so I’ll have to work on getting you anything you need. Also, how do you prefer to handle payment? I assume you require payment in advance?
