Anything we should know?Hello, John D. Ledbetter Anette Jux-Ledbetter Divorced in 2010 a QDRO was implemented on my Florida State Retirement, my plan was under the Pension option when this was initiated. A few months ago I initiated communications with FRS and the Sarasota County Schools to plan my Feb 1 2023 retirement under the investment plan. On 24 Jan 2023 (yesterday), I attended my final retirement appt. at the district. There I was told I must submit an amendment of the original QDRO indicating the investment option, not the pension option, meaning I can not retire until this is done. FFRS acknowledged that I should have know this months ago from them, and she would expedite everything they can on their end. My ex-wife and I have an agreement on the investment amount, and we are available to immediate sign the amendment. I am scheduled to start a new position asap, I had no idea or this would have been done months ago. Lisa Kleinberg referred you, said you were the best one to pull off some legal magic so i can retire. Please let me know if you can help me, I am not asking for any discounts, a fair price for making this happen as fast as possible, I respect your time and process, I am just frustrated.
