Anything we should know?Good morning. My attorney, Scott Smiley, in Tallahassee recommended we use you for our two QDROs. Per the terms of our agreement, my wife is to get 100% of the FATIC (first american) 401K. She is also to get $35,000 as lump sum alimony out of a retirement account of my choice--see attached statement for my FRS (Florida Retirement System) retirement investment account. I would like for the $35K to be taken from that account--I understand that through the QDRO process she will get her own account which she can then withdraw money from penalty free (although subject to 20% tax withholding). Please contact me with anything else you need as well as an estimate / cost breakdown, etc. Per the terms of the agreement we are to share in the cost for the QDROs. Note that both of these are investment accounts, neither is any sort of a pension plan. Thanks.
