Anything we should know?
Dear Lundy Law Team, Below is an overview of attached documents including the inclusion of a draft QDRO as prepared through my pension management company, Fidelity. As part of marital settlement it was agreed to equally share my Pfizer pension with my ex-wife (Judgement & Settlement docs attached). Being a formal QDRO is required and that my Pfizer pension plan is managed by Fidelity, Fidelity has a formal QDRO preparation website to manage the QDRO process. Fidelity indicates that using the Fidelity web application and resultant QDRO materials to submit and approved through the Court will be subject to a $300 Fidelity fee, whereas the use of non-Fidelity materials results in Fidelity fee to be minimally $1200 in addition to those attorney fees to develop a the non-Fidelity system based QDRO document set. I am interested in facilitating actions needed to achieve Court approved pension QDRO with emphasis in minimizing the overall QDRO related expense (Attorney fees & Fidelity processing fees) by using the Fidelity prepared QDRO, attached, facilitated through Lundy Law. Note that I initially followed the court procedure (pro se) provided to me to have the Fidelity QDRO (attached) processed through the Court. I submitted materials to Broward Court but received a Reject notice for failing to have: (see attached case status email) 1. A correct case number 2. Local Notary in Court Notary Data Bank 3. I missed signing the doc Rejection issues #2 & #3 above are easily rectifiable by myself - however, issue #1 I have not identified a means in which to achieve this, albeit, assuming a simple straightforward procedure. Therefore, I'm requesting assistance from Lundy Law help me to A. provide instructions for editing the current QDRO to reflect Lundy Law representative within the document (current version is; pro se) B. successfully submit the Fidelity generated QDRO to the 17th Court C. successfully achieve court approved QDRO in a timely manner D. other as may be warranted by Lundy Law guidance thanks in advance, Jim Schwier
